Zip Photos Online

Combine many photos into one ZIP archive in your browser. Quality preserved, nothing uploaded.

Why ZIP Photos?

• Share an entire shoot or album as one file instead of N attachments • Send to a printer, designer, or client as a single deliverable • Upload to platforms that prefer one file over many • Archive a memory card dump as a single, dated archive Keep in mind: ZIP doesn't shrink JPEG, PNG, or WebP photos meaningfully — those are already compressed. The ZIP is for bundling, not for size reduction.

How to ZIP Photos in Your Browser

1. Open tarpanda and switch to "Create" mode 2. Drop the photos — or drag a whole folder of photos — onto the create zone 3. Pick "Fast" compression (Normal/Maximum won't help with already-compressed images) 4. Click "Create ZIP" and download EXIF metadata, color profiles, and full pixel data are all preserved exactly.

If You Need Smaller Photos

ZIP alone won't shrink photos. To actually reduce file size: • Resize: drop the long edge to 1920 px (still excellent for screens, drastically smaller) • Re-encode JPEG at 80–85% quality (visually indistinguishable, 40–60% smaller) • Convert PNG photographs to JPEG (PNG is for graphics, not photos) • Strip EXIF metadata if not needed Do this with a photo tool first, then ZIP the resized versions.

JPEG/PNG/WebP are already compressed image formats. ZIP can't compress them further. The ZIP is for bundling, not size reduction.

Yes. RAW files are stored byte-for-byte. Some RAW formats are uncompressed and may shrink modestly inside a ZIP.
